FMIG & Medical Education

The University of Hawai’i John A. Burns School of Medicine has the only Family Medicine Interest Group (FMIG) in Hawaii and HAFP supports them as much as possible through the HAFP and HAFP Foundation. HAFP also supports medical students at A.T. Still University based at Waianae Coast Comprehensive Health Center and the residents at the Hawaii Island Family Medicine Residency Program (Hilo, HI), University of Hawaii Family Medicine Residency Program (Aiea, HI), and Tripler Army Medical Center (Honolulu, HI).

Annual FMIG Mixer, sponsored by HAFP, at Bucca di Beppo in Honolulu. A great mixer for HAFP Board members, community physicians, residents, and medical students.
HAFP sponsors the annual Family Medicine Residency (Tripler, Hilo, UH), JABSOM MS4, and A.T. Still University MS4 graduation celebration at the Hale Koa Hotel in May.
